Alex J. Krisko
DMD, MD
Dr. Krisko is a board-certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon originally from the town of Schnecksville, Pennsylvania. Growing up in a small town he learned the value of family, integrity and hard work. From there he earned a bachelor's degree in Chemistry and graduated Summa Cum Lauda from the University of Pittsburgh. Next he moved back to eastern Pennsylvania for dental school and went on to earn his dental degree from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. There he was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Society, and more importantly met his wife Phoebe. After graduating from dental school, Dr. Krisko completed his medical degree, general surgery internship, and oral & maxillofacial surgery residency at the University of Kentucky. As he was finishing his residency program he learned about Foothills Oral Surgery from Dr. O who had graduated from the same residency program a few years prior. Dr. Krisko and Phoebe came and visited the practice, and they fell in love with the people, practice and region. They moved their family to Hickory and love the community and access to the outdoors.
His professional interests include dental implant rehabilitation, wisdom tooth removal, bone grafting procedures, facial trauma surgery, and providing safe and comfortable office sedation. Dr. Krisko has a doctoral degree in both dentistry and medicine and maintains his board-certification by completing continuing education courses as well as taking call at CVMC.
Outside of the office, Dr. Krisko’s biggest passion is his family. Dr. Krisko and Phoebe have two young children, Jack and Zoe, who make sure that mom and dad don’t get too much rest. They enjoy trying new foods, home movie nights, hiking and spending time outdoors. He is a novice woodworker who likes cooking, swimming, and shooting sports.
Dr. Krisko’s practice philosophy is to treat each of his patients as if they were a member of his family. He enjoys providing high-quality and compassionate care to his patients.
