Jesse O. Onekhena

Meet Dr. Jesse Onekhena; affectionately known as Dr. O, a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon with dual degrees in medicine and dentistry.

Hailing from Cincinnati Ohio, Dr. Onekhena developed his interest in healthcare during time spent in Nigeria where he experienced first-hand how difficult it was for people to access quality healthcare. Once he returned to the United States he earned his dental degree at the University of Connecticut and his medical degree at the University of Kentucky. He then completed a general surgery and anesthesia internship as well as a comprehensive oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at the University of Kentucky.

As an experienced oral & maxillofacial surgeon Dr. O specializes in bone grafting, dental implants, wisdom teeth, basic pathology, and delivery of anesthesia to ensure your treatment is received in a safe and comfortable setting. Dr. Onekhena is passionate about incorporating the latest technologies, bioengineering advancements, and tissue management techniques to provide optimal long term outcomes for his patients.

When not caring for patients, Dr. O loves to spend time with family and friends across the US and the world.  He enjoys experiencing different cultures especially through culinary adventures. He is an avid sports fan with a budding appreciation for college athletics. Maybe you can help him decide which college basketball team to support; but bear in mind he is partial to the UConn Huskies and the Kentucky Wildcats.

Now residing in North Carolina, Dr. O aims to discover all the wonderful aspects of the  state while offering quality healthcare in a safe, timely, cutting-edge care. His ultimate goal is to be an awesome doctor and neighbor, seamlessly blending passion with compassion.
